Kiper’s Take on Brandon Harris Staying
by Canes Pundit on December 23, 2010
We landed an exclusive one question interview with The Helmet Haired One himself, Mel Kiper Jr. Sure, some will say that it was just a case of our question being answered in his weekly ESPN chat. But those people don’t know what they’re talking about. This was clearly an exclusive interview as ours was the first question taken.
As most of you know, Junior CB Brandon Harris recently said that there is an 85% chance that he’ll come back for his senior season. This caught us off guard as we thought that total would be about 84 percentage points less. Remember, cornerback is probably the weakest spot on the 2011 Hurricanes. Brandon McGee is the only returning CB with playing experience. Here’s what Kiper had to say about Harris’ possible return:

-
Condolences go out to Mike James and his family on the untimely passing of his mother. Elgusta James was only 47 years of age. Our thoughts are with the James family.
- Still no word on who the starting quarterback will be for the Sun Bowl. Our guess is that Jacory gets the nod.
- Not a Pete Carroll fan (yes, I still remember the choke sign he did when Stoyanovich missed that kick for the Dolphins), but we do like Golden‘s decision to bring his son Brennan on board. The 31 year old was part of the USC staff from 2002-2009 and helped bring in some big recruits. Golden’s staff should pick up right where Shannon left off on the recruiting front.
Quick Hits: Not a fan of the Mosley-Pacquiao decision, but can’t blame them. Mosley allows for the most money to be made with the least amount of risk for Manny….Tattoo ink is probably worth 80 cents. Most Buckeye players’ autographs are worth 30 cents. Sounds to me like that tattoo parlor got ripped off…..Note to the Ryan household: if you’re into freaky foot fetish videos, don’t post them online. Someone’s gonna find out about it. My fellow editor is into nipple clamps and anal beads, but you don’t see him posting that crap on YouTube…..Don’t look now, but the Heat have the second best record in the Eastern Conference.
